Get started on Kodak Gallery in Six Simple Steps

Step 1: Enter your first name and email. Come up with a password that's easy for you to remember, but not so obvious anyone can figure it out. You'll see that Kodak Gallery has a special gift for you just for opening an account. You'll get 20 - 4x6 free prints that you can arrange once you get inside.

If you have a camera phone, you can select the option to "add your camera phone". This will enable you to upload your images directly from your camera phone to your Kodak Gallery account. You can always add this feature later from within your account if you wish.

Step 2: Click the "My Account" link at the top of your Kodak Gallery account window. Here, you can take care of the basics, like adding your shipping address. You'll want to be certain the prints and products you order of your fabulous images don't end up at Santa's house.

Step 3: Go to the "Upload Photos" tab and start creating albums and adding your great photos. It's simple to do. You just give a name to an album, give it a date, include a description and click "continue".

When you reach the next page, a yellow bar will appear at the top of your browser screen asking you to approve the installation of Kodak Gallery "Ofoto Easy Upload Control". When you click this bar, a little box will appear for you to "Install" the control. It's safe for you to approve this option.

Step 4: Click the "Add Photos" on the Kodak Gallery upload page. The photos folder on your computer will pop up. Choose the images you want to add to that album. When you're done, click to upload them. Repeat this step to add more albums and photos.

Step 5: Create groups and add your friends so you can email them quickly and easily from within your Kodak Gallery account whenever you upload new photo albums.

Step 6: The fun really begins! Share your photos with your friends, family, co-workers, neighbors and anyone you want to make envious. Click on any album and you can send an invitation to whomever you wish.

People with Kodak Gallery accounts can share their albums with you, too. When they do, their photos will appear within a special folder in your account. When you click to "Share Photos", you'll see two folders on the left -- your own albums and "My Friends' Albums".

There's just one thing to remember. Kodak Gallery has a rule that if you don't order something from them at least once a year, your account can be closed. This means your uploaded images will disappear. Although Kodak does send you an email notice before they do so, it's very important to have your own backup of your photos in case you don't see the notice before it's too late.

It's easy to remedy, however. When you see how much enjoyment your photos give your visitors, you'll be anxious to order gifts for the special people in your life.
