How to Create a Photo Mug Using Kodak Gallery
Share your photos creatively with a photo mug!
If you're anything like me, you're always looking for new and clever ways to share your photos. And, you are also sometimes looking to pick up that perfect gift. What better way to do both than creating a personalized photo mug to give!
It's easy to create a photo mug
My mom's birthday is right around the corner so I'm probably spoiling the surprise, but I'm getting her a photo mug of her beautiful grandchildren (okay, I'm biased) and I'm going to show you, step-by-step, how to do it.
First, login to your Kodak Gallery account. Click here for instructions how to set up an account on Kodak Gallery.
Once you've logged on, go ahead and click on tab in the upper right hand corner titled "Shop". From there, you can select "Mugs" under the product list on the left hand side of the store.
As you can see, the have a wide selection of photo mugs to chose from. For Mom, I'm going to create a café mug. I click on the Create Mug button to be brought to the next steps.
Your next decision is whether you want to use a landscape or portrait picture. You probably have a picture in mind for your photo mug -- is the picture wider than it is tall? If so, choose Landscape. If it's taller than it is wide, choose Portrait. For my photo mug, I've picked a landscape photo, so I select the Use a landscape photo button.
Next you have to pick the photo you want tiled all over the photo mug. You will have the choice of picking from any of photos you've already uploaded, or you can upload a new photo.
Once you've selected your photo, you will be taken to the product preview screen. Although you don't get to see exactly what your finished product will look like, you will be able to see that the photo will work and an approximation of what the finished product will look like.
I see that the picture of my two kids fits in the space allotted. If I had picked portrait instead of landscape, my photo mug would look like this:
With my son half cut out of the picture I can see right away that this picture won't work for my photo mug. I am going to stick with the previous (landscape) version!
I click the Add to Cart button to be taken to the order screen. I have decided to make 4 different versions of the same style mug to give my mom a set. I click Add to Cart after each version and when I'm all done, I click on the shopping cart icon in the upper right hand corner and finalize my purchase.
With Kodak Gallery I can even enter Mom's address and have her gift shipped right to her! Just follow the on-screen prompts to enter shipping addresses and payment information.
And that's all there is to it!
While these instructions are specific to creating a photo mug with Kodak Gallery, other sites like Shutterfly, and Snapfish have photo mugs as well. Just follow the on-screen instructions to create a photo mug for your loved one (or yourself) today.
