4 Things you NEVER want to do on Snapfish

Avoiding Snapfish Woes

|

Chances are, you've joined the digital photo parade and have joined an online photo sharing site. If Snapfish is one of your sites of choice, then there are a few things you should know before you drop everything and make this your only option.

Slow down and take a moment to examine what we've found. There are a few things you NEVER want to do on Snapfish.

1. NEVER leave Snapfish responsible for your photo protection.

Sure, the site offers free and unlimited photo storage with a promise to keep your photos in your account indefinitely. And, if you're like most of us, you become quite addicted to uploading most of your photos to your online account. What would happen one day if you suddenly didn't have those photos in your account anymore? Take the time to create a back up of your photos. Click here on our photo backup article to find out how to do just that.

2. NEVER order a photo gift without inspecting your photos first.

Although Snapfish offers a large list of personalized photo gifts, many of them are so personalized that the site cannot offer a print preview of the product. Take the time to completely check out the resolution of your photos before submitting your order. You don't want to be disappointed with the quality when you receive it in the mail. If your photo is not of an adequate resolution, an orange triangle Triangle.jpgwill appear below the thumbnail of the photo on the order page.

3. NEVER try to upload more than 25 photos at a time.

Snapfish gives you the option of uploading one photo or several at one time. And, even though you can select an unlimited number of pictures to upload in one sitting, the site may very well freeze up (or just close) in the middle of your upload. Reduce your chances of having to start over by uploading a small number of photos at a time.

4. NEVER make a time sensitive photo order without checking the time window first.

Have you ever received your holiday cards after the holiday? Keep this from happening again by looking at Snapfish's time frame window.

Their chart gives you information on processing time for most of their products as well as shipping time. Understand that these times are split up; a processing time of 2-3 days and a shipping time of 3-5 days means that you'll be waiting a total of 6-10 days for your order. This would have been great information to have before that last set of cards (you know, the ones that didn't come in time).

Now, armed with useful information, you can use your Snapfish account and know that you're photos and orders will be secure.
