10 Reasons Why I Love Shutterfly
On Shutterfly -- It's all about convenience
Quite simply, using Shutterfly is easy. And, when it comes down to it, convenience is what we're looking for these days. The point-and-click, drag-and-drop options in photo sharing sites like Shutterfly are gaining in popularity and they're definitely here to stay. For more reasons than could be listed, sites like this are big hits. Here's why.
It's All About Convenience
You're looking for practicality when it comes to your online photo album? Stop right here; you're already in the right place. Below are ten reasons why Shutterfly is the photo site of dreams.
1. The account is free. This in itself speaks volumes; however, being able to store as many pictures as you want without paying a fee is quite a perk!
2. There are four ways to upload photos to the Shutterfly site. You can add digital pictures one at a time, in groups using the Upload Assistant, and by downloading Shutterfly's own software, Shutterfly Studio, (which you can also use for editing) and then uploading the photos onto the Shutterfly site. Plus, you can mail in your 35mm film and Shutterfly will scan the photos and add them to your online account for you.
3. You can edit and add borders to every picture. Whether you want to add whimsy or reduce red eye, it can be done on Shutterfly.
4. Not only can you create pictures, but (for postage and a small fee) Shutterfly will mail them for you! By adding contact information into the Shutterfly Address Book, you can select the recipient for your personalized thank you cards and Shutterfly will address the envelope and mail it - saving you the trouble.
5. You can share your photos with anyone. Many online photo companies allow you to share pictures, but once the recipient opens the email, they're required to create an account in order to see the cherished memories. On Shutterfly, anyone can see the images (and only have to join if they want to).
6. Favorite photos, like those from your wedding, can be put into an online collection which can be accessed online by friends and family at any time.
7. Your photos can become much more than prints. Accessing the Shutterfly Store allows you to make photo cards, mugs, puzzles, magnets, canvas prints, scrapbook pages, and more. The site lets you visualize the finished product, make corrections, and then wait for the finished product. Or, you can go back to your contacts and have Shutterfly send the gift to someone else.
8. Tons of money can be saved by purchasing a pre-paid photo plan. Prints (4 x 6) are as low as twelve cents each and it can be done in a cinch.
9. Entering photo descriptions in online albums allows you to put messages on the back of prints. Then, the recipients will totally get the picture!
10. Shutterfly offers free photo software, Shutterfly Studio, which can be downloaded and used for editing and uploading of pictures. Its cost and its ease make this a must have.
There you have it. Ten reasons to love Shutterfly -- a site that keeps giving back. And the list is still growing.
